When I Die

Been thinking a lot about dying recently. But not the morbid kind.

I'm thinking how to best approach everything I'll leave behind. I have a lot of personal clutter plus there's the whole online presence thing. I recently read a blog post that delves into this issue as well.

Being dead, I don't think it will bother me by then, but I would hate to inconvenience the person unlucky enough to be tasked with managing my leftover affairs.

I'm thinking of creating a locked file with detailed instructions of how to access and what to do with all my possessions. But where do I put the password and make sure it's secure while I'm still walking the earth?

As much as possible I want the transition to be painless and smooth, both for dying and for the transfer of my properties.

I'm going to have to consult with my family on this one. I don't want them to get blindsided IF anything happens.

My priorities:

Lots to ponder for now. Need to research and see how other people have dealt with this situation.
