Toothache 2: Antibiotic Boogaloo

Part 1

I have Irreversible Pulpitis in my lower right molar so I've been in a terrible mood these past few days. My days have been mostly tolerable, but there are isolated instances where the pain gets too intense that I feel like whiting out.

My last dental check up was supposed to be a tooth extraction session, but my blood pressure was too high that the dentist didn't want to risk an operation under those circumstances. Instead, they gave me a stronger dose of antibiotic and to return after the 7 days of taking it are over.

It's funny because my blood pressure is high because of the lack of sleep, but I can't sleep because of the pain. And the pain is there as long as the tooth is also there. It's a feedback loop that I can't escape.

Buttttttttt, so far, the new antibiotic seems to be working. The moments of pain are much rarer than before and not as intense. Still uncomfortable, but I'll take that over what I've felt before.

I'm just sticking it out, knowing that this will pass. Strictly observing my antibiotic times (5am, 1pm, 9pm) and trying not to aggravate the right side of my mouth. As long as I chew extremely carefully, I can eat anything as long as it's not hard or spicy.

Also, I discovered how delicate I can be with my movement when being rough is punished by searing pain. I'm now moving more slowly and carefully just to stop aggravating my condition.

I can't wait for this tooth to be extracted. It's caused me (and my family) a lot of inconveniences so I hold no sentimentality over it.
